An ESP32 wearable system that measures guardian-child separation using ultra-wideband ranging and coordinates device behavior over ESP-NOW.
Hardware prototype
I develop the ESP32 firmware, integrate UWB ranging and wireless communication, and debug power, sensor, and timing problems on the hardware.
Firmware and feedback
The system uses IDLE, SAFE, TRANSITION, ALERT, and SEEK states. LEDs, haptics, and audio communicate the active behavior while a separate FreeRTOS task allows audio to run without blocking ranging and input handling.
